Compressed air dryers for optimal performance and cost savings

Our air dryers are designed to remove moisture and water from your compressed air system. This ensures optimal performance and cost savings. From refrigerant dryers to desiccant and membrane dryers, find the perfect solution for your specific needs and applications.

A variety of compressed air dryer options

We understand the importance of a compressed air dryer in maintaining optimal compressor performance and minimising operational costs. We have a range of air dryers available to meet your operational requirements, ensuring a sustainable way of removing water and moisture from compressed air systems.

Protect your Compressed air system from corrosion

From time to time, unseen water can get into your compressed air system. This can lead to corrosion and rust formation within your compressed air system and machinery. Water and moisture can also enter your expensive equipment and machinery. This can result in reduced tool and machine reliability, life, and performance. Water and corrosion dirt can also mix with your product, it can affect your product quality, and increase reductions and waste. To mitigate these issues, a reliable drying method is often employed. Explore the various dryers available here.

Types of air dryers

Refrigerant dryers: efficient cooling and cost reduction

Atlas Copco refrigerant air dryer for compressed air system

Refrigerant (or refrigerated) dryers are commonly used for air drying and cooling. Our offer of refrigerant air dryers enhances productivity while reducing lower operational costs.

These dryers provide a reliable and simple solution to protect your compressed air system from corrosion. Less downtime can be achieved when using this dryer, as minimum maintenance is required. With a compact design, and plug-and-play concept, the refrigerant dryer is an easy to install unit.

Desiccant dryers: tailored solutions for diverse industries

Our extensive range of

Our extensive range of

Our extensive range of desiccant dryers is designed to meet the demands of various industries and applications. Desiccant air dryers operate by absorbing moisture from passing air through a desiccant medium. The desiccant medium has a high moisture absorption capacity before it requires regeneration. There are three types of desiccant dryers:

  • Heatless dryers
  • Blower purge dryers
  • Heat of compression dryers

Rotary drum dryers: optimal drying for specific applications

Atlas Copco rotary drum air dryer for compressed air system

Rotary drum dryers offer energy-efficient and cost-effective drying options for compressed air. This type of dryers is ideal for food and beverage, and pharmaceutical processes as they deliver oil-free air. Our Z-type class 0 certified oil-free compressors and related dryers and filters, comply with the food safety management system ISO 22000. We ensure that our range of compressed air products work seamlessly together, providing you a complete energy-efficient solution.

Membrane dryers: highly dependable solution

Our selection of membrane air dryers provides a reliable and energy-efficient solution for your air system. By using our membrane dryer, you can minimise the risk of corrosion and avoid costly downtime. These dryers are designed to remove oil particles and moisture from the compressor. We offer SDR membrane dryers, which are specially engineered for tough railway conditions.

How does an air dryer work and why add a dryer to your compressed air system?

How does an air dryer work?

Air dryers remove moisture from the air, using different techniques depending on the dryer system:

  • desiccant dryers
  • refrigerated dryers
  • membrane dryers.

The measurement of dry compressed air, known as the 'dew point,' determines the amount of water vapor in the air. Lower dew point temperatures indicate less moisture content, with condensation occurring at the dew point temperature.

Why add an air dryer to your compressed air system?

Water and moisture pose a significant risk to tools and equipment driven by compressed air.  Many processes, using compressed air, are processing products that cannot withstand water or moisture. Untreated compressed air that contains contaminants can damage your air system and end products. Moisture in compressed air systems can cause various problems:

  • Corrosion which results in the formation of rust within the compressed air system
  • Wear and tear of the inner part of the compressed air line can lead to holes and air leaks which ultimately result in a decrease in pressure
  • Damage to tools which can impact quality and performance of the processed products
  • Contamination of products, leading to quality deviations and profitability issues
  • Control malfunctions due to freezing water in control lines
