Atlas Copco Rental launches remote monitoring system for its worldwide fleet

Antwerp, Belgium, April 29, 2013: Atlas Copco Rental is taking the next step in customer service. From April 2013 onwards the rental fleet will be equipped with the iACCESS [intelligent Atlas CopCo Equipment Satellite System] module.

29 April 2013

This module will relay information via satellite to our offices, so that our units can be monitored from a distance. Besides the main operating conditions of the machine we will get live data of pressures and temperatures inside the units. Thanks to iACCESS, we will have a fantastic opportunity to enhance our offering and delight our customers.

Ben Fort , Vice President Operations
The benefits for the customers are clear:
  • Increased productivity: Equipment downtime is prevented by the notification system of iACCESS: when machines require maintenance a message is sent to the service teams so they can take action to avoid malfunction. Maintenance downtimes are reduced: based on the information from iACCESS service technicians can prepare their visits and bring the right tools and parts.
  • Shorter response times: On request customers can get the live data transmitted via iACCESS: communication is more efficient and exchange of information smoother between the users of the equipment and the technical experts. Service interventions are pro-active: the Atlas Copco experts will contact the customer whenever machine parameters go outside normal working range, thus preventing shutdowns or solving issues as soon as possible.
  • No worries: Most customers have highly skilled personnel; however they are busy with the follow-up of the main process and Rental equipment is not always getting the right attention; with iACCESS extra eyes and ears follow the condition of the equipment on site.

The iACCESS remote monitoring system will provide our customers with true peace of mind and maximum uptime ! It will lift our customer service to a superior level.
