Atlas Copco Rental North America expands nitrogen generation offering with new plug & play technology

23 March 2018

La Porte, Texas — Atlas Copco Rental North America, the world-leading provider of temporary compressed oil-free air, high pressure compressed air, and on-site nitrogen generation, announced the expansion of their modular solutions to the on-site nitrogen generation process that delivers reliable nitrogen supply to match unique project needs.

Nitrogen rental project USA - 2018
The two new rental models, the new NGM1100 and NGM7+, are equipped to meet the requirements of variable nitrogen volume and pressure. These products offer plug-and-play technology, self-sustained packaging and improved purity that connect seamlessly with Atlas Copco air compressors. “We saw a need in the industry to eliminate the hassle of handling high-pressure nitrogen vessels and to provide lower overhead with more flexibility,” said Thierry Monart, General Manager for Atlas Copco Rental North America. “Our new nitrogen membrane generators provide contractors and facility owners with cost savings, time efficiency and overall improved technology, allowing them to generate as much nitrogen as needed exactly when they need it.” The new nitrogen membrane generators allow continuous production of N2 at levels between 95 percent to 99.5 percent purity, with pressure up to 2175 psig. The additional models are a flexible solution allowing users to manage their own uninterrupted availability to Nitrogen gas. Nitrogen is used in many industrial applications to displace oxygen, protect from corrosion, or to prevent ignition or explosion of flammable products. Atlas Copco Rental provides a complete solution for on-site nitrogen generation including feed air compressors, nitrogen membranes and high-pressure boosters backed by 24/7 dedicated service support. Mohammad Nasser, Product Marketing Manager for Atlas Copco Rental concluded, “The quick installation to run time will keep costs low, save time and remove the challenges of transportation and management of liquid N2, achieving our goal to contribute to our customers’ safety, productivity and profitability.”
