Atlas Copco rental supports Big Air Turkey 2014 with snow making
Prior to hosting this championship, the city needed to build a temporary ramp of 42 meters high, which needed to be covered in snow. And that’s where Atlas Copco Rental stepped in. With an ambient temperature of about 10°C in Istanbul, fresh snow doesn’t come falling from the skies. It obviously needed to be produced on site for this unique event. Since water, nitrogen and oil-injected compressed air are the main ingredients to get the job done, Atlas Copco Rental was contacted beforehand to provide those compressors.

And with great results, too. Within 50 hours, the slopes were covered in 720m³ of snow. All of the 45 athletes, consisting of 15 women and 30 men, were delighted with the good quality of the snow and the organization in general. In the end, more than 20.000 visitors came to Istanbul to enjoy this spectacle, the music and the one of a kind atmosphere.

We were very happy with the professionalism of Atlas Copco Rental. The snowmaking itself was fast, everything went exactly as planned and the results were definitely there!
