Our service operation team ensures routine servicing and maintenance including cleaning and inspecting components, checking for leaks, and replacing potentially worn-out parts of your equipment. This also helps prevent future costly repairs and downtime, ensuring that the Rental fleet operates seamlessly.

Atlas Copco Specialty Rental has always been at the forefront – be it agility, quality or service. With customer always in focus, we don’t just understand the shifting market trends, but also design  groundbreaking products for several industries, working closely with our customers to ensure they get the maximum out of their investment. One key element to deliver on this promise, is that of service and maintenance.

 

Our service division is a 24x7, 365 days available entity. This is because a breakdown can happen any time. But we have set a number of crucial steps to achieve this agility. This makes the service division one of the core strengths of Atlas Copco Specialty Rental.

What is the approach the service division usually takes?

Our approach has always been multi-pronged. Here are the steps we take to ensure less, or no downtimes occur.

We start with a pre-commissioning visit where we check the site location, environment, power, location. This is carried on by a site engineer. Then the machine is dispatched and during installation we completely follow standard guidelines to ensure we cover all the aspects. Sometimes, we also help with unloading if it is a part of our scope.

All safety measures are taken into consideration – from safety gear like hand gloves, jacket, shoes, to up-to-date and regular trainings.  

When we handover the machine, we again check everything to make sure it is as per our commitment, and this is verified by the customer. Once the customer approves, only then our service engineer leaves the site. 

What makes the service division at Specialty Rental so remarkable?

The expertise and understanding of the business, the industry and our equipment makes us a division at par with others. Comprising of a service manager, sales engineer, team leader, engine specialist, and electrical specialist, we have a comprehensive and close set of people who lead the way with a united vision – no breakdowns and no downtimes. So be it any equipment – compressors, diesel driven, oil-free, our industry experts know it like the back of their hand.

Another aspect that helps us remain a trusted division, is our network. To cater to some emergency situations, we also activate it within all our other divisions, seeking help from the resident engineers and depute them to reduce travel time and improve the response time.

Also, the fact that most of the equipment is either in some of the remotest locations, amongst hazardous environments or simply in an extreme setting, our engineers understand their responsibility and bravely handle any situation and ensure the functioning of the machinery is productive and smooth at all times. In case of some extreme scenario where the downtime could prolong to a great extent or it could lead to an accident – be it late night, rain or heat, they take the call on the next steps.

How are you ensuring fast service, staying technologically updated, and prioritizing safety and competency for your service engineers in India?

We're expanding depots, equipping each engineer with a service van stocked with tools and parts, and enhancing competency through regular training, ensuring efficient and skilled service delivery in India.
