E-Air wins Silver for Engineering Solution at Plantworx Innovation Awards

The Engineering Solution Silver Award recognises the E-Air electric compressor as an innovative machine with a focus on ‘sustainable productivity’ and clean drive technology. The winners of the Plantworx Innovation Awards 2019 were announced during a Gala Dinner, following the CEA’s (Construction Equipment Association) annual conference, on March 21st at the East of England Arena in Peterborough, where the exhibition will be held in June. Over 150 guests attended the Awards, hosted by snooker world champion, Steve Davis OBE. The Engineering Solution Award, sponsored by Caterpillar, was one of 8 award categories, including Efficiency Innovation, Environmental Innovation, and Safety Innovation. The entries were judged by a third party panel of experts in the construction and rail industries, with an understanding of the importance of innovation in today’s market.

The E-Air electric powered compressor was designed as a plug-and-play solution, with up to 40% greater flow for the same power consumption compared to conventional portable compressors. The Variable Speed Drive (VSD) motor means you get a low power start - no need for an oversized generator to start the machine. Weighing under 750kg, with a 15% smaller footprint than comparable models, portability is easy and power is not compromised. Other features include the Smart Socket System, offering the flexibility to use the same machine with multiple outlet sockets, and the PACE (Pressure Adjusted through Cognitive Electronics) system allows operating pressures to be adjusted in a matter of seconds.
