Virtual stations require less hardware
Because virtual station functionality on the PowerFocus 6000 allows up to six tools to run on a single controller, the amount of inventory and peripheral hardware can be significantly reduced. That means fewer of the physical controllers needs to be kept in inventory. Also, many of the cables, stands and networking hardware will not be necessary. This contributes to a less cluttered lean manufacturing facility.
