Challenge:
Atlas Copco Tools and Assembly Systems is working with an agricultural equipment manufacturing customer to solve ergonomic issues involving excessive noise in their process.
Our Regional Sales Manager at the plant, along with the customer, had identified in the work environment where impact drivers are used on panel-type assembly, causing very high noise levels. The excessive noise has resulted in cases where operators had hearing losses, with recorded cases causing claims of $22,200 annually.

Not only will our customer benefit from savings in reduced medical costs caused by noise, but the TBP’s lower vibrations greatly reduces the risk of cardio vascular injuries to the operators. Quality improvements to their production are also gained, thanks to the TBP’s torque control and angle measuring capabilities, which allow for fastener counting and detection of potential assembly issues.
