Atlas Copco Compressors Attending Pack Expo International in Chicago Oct. 23-26
Suppliers and manufacturers providing the widest array of packaging and processing solutions will attend Pack Expo International at McCormick Place in Chicago from October 23-26, marking the event’s first in-person show in four years. Atlas Copco Compressors, exhibiting in booth #7239, will be showcasing their latest product launches in two categories that the company has launched in recent years – industrial cooling and process filtration.
The process filtration range is focused on liquid, steam, and air, and extends the company’s filter product portfolio by increasing its reach into multiple industries, including pharmaceutical, electronics, life sciences and food contact compliance. The filter range exceeds ISO 8573-1 Class 0 requirements. This product range includes bags, filters, and cartridges with the goal of preventing microbial contamination and ensuring that the quality of the final product is protected. These filters can be steam sterilized and used with a wide-range of mediums. The stainless-steel housings holding these products are sanitary, and therefore inhibit the growth of bacteria and allow for easy disassembly for inspection and cleaning.
The Atlas Copco TCX range of process chillers will also make their Pack Expo debut. The TCX range features a compact, all-in-one water chiller with an air-cooled condenser and integrated hydro module, with units available in a variety of sizes. TCX chillers are specially designed for cooling water (or a mixture of water and glycol) for a wide range of industrial segments. The design of the TCX range’s state-of-the-art microchannel condensers requires 30% less refrigerant, making the units more environmentally friendly while lowering potential maintenance charges over the life of the chiller.
The dedicated Atlas Copco process cooling team will also be on-hand to talk about the new four-model TCA55-215 plug-and-play industrial water chiller range, which offers cooling capacities from 55 to 228 kW. This new range has many unique features designed for optimum energy efficiency and complete operational safety, as well as for easy and cost-effective installation and maintenance. Reliable and robust, the chillers feature proven scroll compressors in a twin circuit configuration, air-cooled microchannel condensers and an integrated hydraulic module.
At Pack Expo, air compressor innovation will continue to be a heavy focus, with Atlas Copco’s high-pressure specialists on hand to showcase the ZP range. Sustainability and efficiency is often about what you can eliminate. The ZP defines that very phrase and is a true plug-and-play package, with a unique air-cooled design. Specifically aimed at the PET and blow molding industries, the plug-and-play design means you can remove at least 8 auxiliary products you would usually need for a similar compressor. The ZP was designed to be at the heart of your workplace, not hidden away and powering your production through miles of piping. The ZP utilizes a piston design with variable speed drive options and features remote monitoring and the unique rod drop sensor technology – it’s so smart it can detect any potential compressor issues before they become production challenges.
To complete the package, the NGP+ nitrogen generator range will be on display and several customer case stories will also be featured. One leading example is for Atlas Copco customer, rPlanet Earth, who recently saved over $80,000 a month moving to Atlas Copco’s nitrogen generators at their company headquarters. With the price of gasses continuing to increase, and also shortages in some areas, the nitrogen generation range has proved a game changer for manufacturers who want to take control of their supply, while reaping the efficiency and environmental benefits that come along with it.
“This is our biggest Pack Expo in a decade, with a focus on compressed air innovation, as well as the new products we have launched which enable customers to extend their trust in Atlas Copco way beyond the compressor room,” said Paul Humphreys, VP communications, Atlas Copco Compressors. “Pack Expo provides us the perfect platform to show this new innovation to their target audience and we are excited to be showcasing so many new products.”
