Atlas Copco Rental Chile to support RR Wine Ltda with power during peak hours

August 31, 2017

Antwerp, Belgium, August 31, 2017: When RR Wine ltda started to look for a solution to cover their need for power during peak production hours, Atlas Copco Rental Chile came up with a solution that even surpassed the customer’s expectations with a better stand-alone solution in case of energy interruption periods would occur.

RR Wine Ltda - power for peak times

QAS power generators arrive on site for installation

RR Wine Ltda. is dedicated to wine production. The company, established in 1993, has been exclusively producing and exporting bulk Chilean wine, offering its customers only their best selection. When the need arose for more efficient equipment, improved costs and potentially less noise pollution for their neighbors, RR Wine contacted Atlas Copco Rental.

Generating energy for peak hours is critical for our productivity. The constant support of Atlas Copco Rental, from the very start of our relationship, made us decide to let them assume the challenge we had set forward!” explains Pablo Castillo, Maintenance supervisor.

A complete set of technical advice from the Rental sales engineer

Our sales engineer visited the site and guided the customer with a complete solution for new generators. We also offered a fuel tank and a pump to automatically refill the generators for better stand-alone. Additionally we proposed an automatic synchronization system to cover during power interruption period. Thanks to this it is now unnecessary to stop the installed equipment 30 minutes before a power stop and then work another 30 minutes to re-start the equipment after the network is set back to normal.

It is clear that we have made impressive savings, but additional benefits are not to be neglected: we decreased our noise pollution with more silent equipment and our visual impact since the units are much smaller. There is no doubt that we have made great improvements in our production process thanks to the collaboration with Atlas Copco Rental.” Continues Castillo. "We are very satisfied with Atlas Copco Rental, given the fact that the solution provided is of great help - and the support for the synchronization installation during energy interruption is such a great improvement. We hope to have the plant fully synchronized for 2018. Congratulations to Álvaro Salgado who was always there even in the most difficult moments. We look forward to a continued long-lasting relation with Atlas Copco Rental.
