Enjoy flexibility throughout the production process with the PF6 FlexSystem
The PF6 FlexSystem is a compact controller system designed for fixtured applications. This efficient, space-saving tool-control system from Atlas Copco is designed especially for fastening operations, the PF6 FlexSystem can track up to 50 tools per station. Its flexible mounting capabilities result in lower integration and installation costs and can even reduce production line floor space by up to 97%.
This scalable system is delivered with an Intelligent Application Module loaded with functionality to help ensure seamless fastening operations. Using the same software platform as other Atlas Copco tools, the PF6 FlexSystem helps avoid unnecessary startup, inventory and software management costs throughout its lifecycle.
Traditional tool-control system challenges
Traditional installation is characterized by controllers mounted on floor stands away from the powerhead. The required 40-60 meters of tool cables and cabinets, with enclosed cooling units, occupy significant production line floor space. Additional stands are often needed to support all this internal cabling and the stand-alone controller is mounted directly at the robot work cell.
These factors cause time-consuming delays during installation, late changes to the project, and the need to manually rebalance. In the event of failure and/or service, traditional installations make troubleshooting inefficient.
In all these instances, extra material costs are needlessly generated:
