Hose connection and hoses

  • Ensure no change in position of couplers between advance and retract side of pump, hose and tool.
  • Tighten couplers with no gaps.
  • Check hoses for any cracks.
  •  Ensure the hoses are the ones specified for use.

Tool preparation

  • Secure socket with pin and O Ring.
  • Ensure the reaction arm is fit correctly.
  • Careful not to drop any components when changing the direction of rotation.
  • Ensure you are using the correct size socket.

Securing back-up wrench

  • Always use a back-up wrench in place of a flogging spanner, which has a potential pinching risk.

Adjust pin orientation

  • Switch position of pin to ensure stable reaction point.

Handling the wrench correctly

  •  Always handle the wrench by a handle.
  • Never hold the tool or pull the pump by the hoses.

Reaction point contact

  • Never use additional equipment to ensure contact at the reaction point.

Releasing the wrench

  •  Never use a spanner or hammer to disengage.
  •  In case of the wrench getting stuck, follow the procedure of using the disengagement lever.
  •  If the wrench is stuck on a joint, always pressurize and use the disengagement lever.
