With exceptional power savings for spinning mills, it’s Atlas Copco for Sree Kailaii Spinners

By shifting from fixed speed compressors to Atlas Copco's variable speed VSD+ compressors, Sree Kailaii Spinners have been able to save 400 units of electricity each day. In fact they have opted for Atlas Copco's total solution: compressors, dryers and oil filters.

S Mohan Shankar is Director of Sree Kailaii Spinners Pvt Ltd, a spinning mill unit that was started by his father in 1995. The unit started which started with 3000 spindles, currently runs with 23,000 spindles.

 

“Ours is a second-generation spinning mill. Previously we had a fixed speed compressor which consumes around 1000 units of electricity per day and we soon shifted to a variable speed VSD+ compressor (GA 37 VSD+ & GA55VSD+ model) from Atlas Copco and now our consumption is around 600 units per day, which translates to approximately 400 units of savings per day.

Sree Kailaii Spinners uses Atlas Copco’s total solution of compressors, dryers and oil filters which ensures a reliable supply of clean air to their machines. Their Autoconer runs largely through air and it is the key machinery in the packing and spinning industries which requires oil-free and clean air. Their requirement of clean oil free air is supplied by Atlas Copco’s compressors in conjunction with Atlas Copco’s UD+ filter (0.0009 mg/m3).
