The board plays a pivotal role in harnessing gender parity, equal opportunity and inclusivity. Pleiades India Board acts as a facilitator of various leadership initiatives for women employees and a strong crusader of diversity and inclusion at the workplace.
Pleiades India's journey is complemented by many milestones. The board commenced its operations as a professional women's network, and today, it has evolved as a progressive platform that invites women and men for their activities and events.

Why I think diversity is important
Diversity and inclusion is no longer something good to have; it is a sound business strategy and solid competitive advantage – what could be more critical in today's business scenario? Diversity and inclusion are about creating an organizational culture that respects differences between individuals and celebrates these differences for maximum business advantage – over everything, it is about tapping into the entire talent pool. It is only when ALL employees feel equally involved in, heard, and appreciated that we know we are a truly diverse and inclusive organization, that will benefit from the fact that diverse teams are the most innovative, and lead to better decision-making, among other advantages.
The change I'd like to bring about as part of the Pleiades India board:
As mentor of the Pleiades Board, I'd love to be able to initiate dialogues that will be instrumental in changing the focus from simply 'checking the diversity box' to actually incorporating the diversity and especially, inclusion mindset in all teams here at Atlas Copco – after all, we don't just want to give people from diverse backgrounds (and genders) a seat at the table, we want to give them a voice, too. Changing mindsets is what I'd truly like to achieve.

Why I think diversity is important
Investing in diverse human capital reaps considerably great results. A diverse pool of talent will have different approaches to address a challenge or provide solutions. This will further lead to lateral thinking and also infuse a sense of inclusivity. Because of this, the probability of having innovative solutions will considerably rise. Thus, providing an impetus to the sustainable growth of business and creating cohesive work culture for all to prosper.
On a macro level, diversity can propel economies. Diversity enables organizations to integrate differences and arrive at a mutually beneficial solution. This further benefits the organizations and the workforce at large.
The change I'd like to bring about as part of the Pleiades India board:
As a chairperson, I look forward to witnessing diversity in the list of board members. We certainly have included young and dynamic women in our team, but it would be nice to have our male colleagues joining us to encourage and foster an inclusive culture.
Transforming the Group's vision of 30% of the workforce should comprise women professionals by 2030 would be outstanding. And Pleiades India is confident of bringing about this change.

Why I think diversity is important
Gender Diversity is one of the business-critical growth drivers. It charts the path for creating a cohesive work culture and enabling an unbiased gender balance. With gender diversity, we can expand the perspectives that lead to increased creativity, innovation, and problem-solving approaches. It allows us to bring in equilibrium, enhancing the feeling of inclusivity, diverse human capital, empathetic and intuitive leadership style, efficiency in addressing uncertain and complex situations.
The change I'd like to bring about as part of the Pleiades India board:
I would like to influence women employees' perception of taking on new challenges and fostering their belief. I would be glad to significantly contribute to enhancing the gender balance and adding to our Group's vision of a diverse and inclusive workforce.
