Hey there! I’m Chrisbee Yap, and let me tell you about my wild ride with Atlas Copco. Ever dreamt of working abroad, soaking in new cultures, and getting that sweet global experience? Yeah, me too! And guess what? I found my perfect chance through Atlas Copco’s exchange program at the Brno hub.

A wild ride, wasn't it?
The exchange program in Brno hub was mind-blowing. I got to work with a big entity, deal with some seriously complex transactions, and I learned so much! The work culture at Brno hub is flexible and supportive. After late-night month-end closings for the US entity, our leader always says, "Good work! Thank you! Have a good rest! You can go home!"
But let’s talk about how awesome Atlas Copco is. The HR team at the Brno hub? Absolute legends. They sorted out my accommodation, transportation, and all that paperwork stuff. They made the transition smooth and stress-free, letting me focus on soaking up every moment of my adventure.

One of the coolest things was the Brno Expat Center. It’s this awesome expat society that helps international folks like me feel right at home. They were super supportive and made settling in a breeze. It was like having a little family away from home.

There are many adventure and fun activities throughout the year. Volunteering at Brno Zoo was great for bonding with colleagues and sharing our cultures. The Pálava trip organized by the AP team was fun, and I made many friends.
The Brno hub’s Sky Club is a relaxing spot for coffee and chats. This was the first time I traveled to Europe with my family and a colleague told me, “If you’re facing any trouble, just call me, and I will help you.”
She helped me when I missed a train and hugged me when I returned, which made me feel emotional. The locals have been exceptionally supportive and warm-hearted. Their willingness to go the extra mile is truly inspiring.
It’s time to write a new story. You never know where it might lead you. It’s all about embracing the unknown and finding the adventure in every challenge.
Now, if you’re thinking about jumping into an exchange program, here’s my advice: Do it! If you dream of working abroad, just go for it. It’s a chance to write a new story and uncover amazing opportunities. You never know where it might lead you.
