Meet Jia Jia
Our Accounts Executive from KL Hub, Shared Service Center
In the bustling cityscape of Vienna, I stood at the edge of an exciting new chapter. Hi I'm Jia Jia. An account executive with a keen eye for detail, I had always wanted to explore different working cultures and environments.
I’ve always been a bit of an adventurer, so when the opportunity to participate in an exchange program in Brno arose, I jumped at the chance. I was eager to experience a different work culture and broaden my horizons.
During my time in Brno, I immersed myself in the world of accounting, though the tasks were familiar, the approach was refreshingly different. The basics of accounting are universal, but the methods varied. It was intriguing to see how different cultures handle the same tasks. My role mainly involved understanding and calculating the Landed Cost Factor—a key aspect of my work there.
But let’s talk about how awesome Atlas Copco is. The HR team at the Brno Hub? Absolute legends. They sorted out my accommodation, transportation, and all that paperwork stuff. They made the transition smooth and stress-free. One standout moment for me was when I completed a significant project and received heartfelt compliments from my colleagues here in Brno. It was such a rewarding feeling to be recognized for my efforts.
The program also played a pivotal role in my professional development. I learned how to navigate and adapt to diverse working cultures, a skill I found invaluable. Working with people from different backgrounds taught me the importance of flexibility and appreciation in the workplace.
The company supported me in every step of the way. From arranging my accommodation and transportation to assisting with the necessary documentation, their commitment to the transition was evident. They made sure I was well taken care of.
Embrace the adventure, stay open-minded, and you’ll come away with experiences that enrich both your personal and professional life.
Reflecting on my experience, I’m grateful for my company’s dedication to employee growth and the collaborative culture it foster. The small, engaging company events were a testament to their inclusive environment.
Returning to my role, I carried with me a newfound appreciation for flexible working hours and a deeper understanding of diverse work cultures. My exchange program not only expanded my professional skills but also broadened my perspective on the world.
