She attributed her way of thinking to The New York Times bestseller, Atomic Habits. In her own words, "it had reshaped the way I think about progress and success". Balqis quoted James Clear "You don’t rise to the level of your goals; you fall to the level of your systems.”
She also shared, "I believe that every brand new day is a chance to flip to a new page. Instead of comparing myself to others and setting hard goals, I am creating a system that works for me. If we can fix the system, the result will fix itself".
Can you tell us about your current role?
“As an Internal Sales and Aftermarket support, I have a dual role that goes hand in hand. In internal sales, I develop sales opportunities by researching and recognizing potential accounts, soliciting lost boy's accounts, building the network, providing technical information, and preparing quotations. With a proper set-up of install base, I have my own sales target to accomplish.
In my role as aftermarket support, I’m in charge of monitoring and analyzing machines’ health conditions through the SMARTLINK system and work towards increasing revenue by collecting business opportunities and assigning business leads to the Sales Team. In addition to this, I am also the co-champion of Falcon where I collect feedback from customers and update the management for further discussion.
How did you hear about Atlas Copco?
I remembered saying to myself: “I want to have a nice suit and work in that building one day”. To be honest, as an actuarial graduate, I don’t see myself working in the big machine industry. I don’t know much about the company when I came in, however, I realize that Atlas Copco is able to offer career development in ways that I did not expect. Atlas Copco was the first company I applied to and had an interview with after obtaining my university degree.
