Atlas Copco Compressors appoints Chris Ferriday as Business Line Manager, Process Cooling Solutions

March 22, 2024

Atlas Copco Compressors has announced the appointment of Chris Ferriday as Business Line Manager, Process Cooling Solutions, in the UK. This internal promotion sees Chris succeed Angus Hall, who retires at the end of July 2023.

Commenting on his new position, Chris said...

Demand for process cooling is growing, so I am excited by the opportunities my new role entails. I am looking forward to introducing new and existing customers to the benefits that Atlas Copco and Eurochiller’s ranges of industrial chillers and coolers can deliver in terms of energy efficiency and reliability. I’ll also be building on Angus Hall’s legacy to grow our distribution and market share in the UK

Chris Ferriday , New Business Line Manager, Process Cooling Solutions

In this new role, Chris and the nationwide team of process cooling sales and service experts will be developing Atlas Copco’s position in the process cooling business. Drawing on experience from Isocool, which is now integrated into Atlas Copco, the team will be focused on introducing new ranges of industrial cooling products to the market, including innovations in chillers, free cooling and adiabatic coolers that will offer the same values as the other Atlas Copco products in term of the total cost of ownership, and help customers reduce their CO2 impact.

Chris has an impressive pedigree in all things engineering. Having gained multiple City and Guilds qualifications in Engineering and Maintenance, he spent eight years in the Royal Air Force as a Mechanical Technician, serving in the US, Falkland Islands, Italy and Oman. A civilian career in sales and service at various industrial and engineering companies followed before Chris joined Atlas Copco in 2014. Prior to his latest appointment he was National Sales Manager of Atlas Copco’s Industrial Air division, a post he had held for five years.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys travelling, eating out and playing the guitar. He is also a fan of both football and American football, supporting Aston Villa and watching every Buffalo Bills game despite the time difference.

Chris will be part of the management team of Atlas Copco Compressors UK.
