Creating the smart factory
Oracle Red Bull Racing embarked on their journey of developing their next-generation, race-winning engine. In order to achieve this, they needed a tooling partner who could provide traceability, precision, reliability and data-driven insight. That’s where Atlas Copco comes in.
Atlas Copco’s Tensor IxB series of assembly tools with built-in controllers revolutionise production line operation, providing improved productivity and agility in the smart factory environment, while its Tools Talk 2 tool programming software will streamline the assembly line through simultaneous configuration of multiple power controllers and virtual tool stations from a single platform. Red Bull Powertrains also utilise our ToolsNet 8 data collection software along with the STR digital smart wrench which will be used to disassemble the engine after use.
