What Kind of Warranty Does CP Compressors Have?

When purchasing an air compressor, the quality and details of the warranty are important for both your business and your satisfaction. Having a great warranty can be the difference in a $3,000 repair, and a $0 repair. All Chicago Pneumatic (CP) air compressors are backed by 1-2 year warranties depending on the type of compressor.

All CP piston single stage compressors are support by our CP Secure 1-Year Warranty. This covers all parts in the unit for one year from the date of commissioning. All CP piston two stage compressors are support by our CP Secure 2-Year Warranty. Two stage pistons have all parts in the unit covered for 2 years from the date of commissioning. CP rotary screw compressors are supported by our CP Secure 1-Year Warranty, and have both parts and labor covered for a year from the date of commissioning. Rotary screw compressor owners also have the opportunity to take advantage of an extended 5-year warranty. The extended warranty requires an authorized start-up and regular maintenance per the instruction manual, along with only using factory authorized fluids and parts.

If your machine encounters an issue during its’ warranty period, please contact your distributor. The distributor can make a warranty claim for you to get the issue resolved. It is important to note that some parts will need to be kept in case a failure evaluation needs to be performed by CP. Those parts include:

·       Motors

·       Elements

·       Piston pumps

·       Pressure switches

·       IVR equipment (convertors and related parts)

·       Coolers

·       Controllers

·       Unloaders and inlet valves

·       Expansion valves (thermostatic & HGB)
