SMARTLINK saves money

SMARTLINK saves

Relying on the intelligence of SMARTLINK does not only make you save money, but also turns you more sustainable. Based on the actual working conditions of your machines, recommendations present real opportunities to improve the efficiency of your compressed air system.
In this article, you can find some real-life situations that show how our customers save energy and costs.

Improved cooler performance reduces energy cost

Through the analysis of SMARTLINK data over a certain period of time, we noticed, before the warning or even shutdown level was reached, that the cooler performance of an air cooled ZT145 was deteriorating. As the machine was under a Total Responsibility contract, a technician was dispatched to perform a thorough cleaning of the cooling. As such, we did not only avoid a potential shutdown but also enabled our customer to reduce the monthly electricity cost with € 500.

Energy loss prevented by detecting a running, but unloaded machine

SMARTLINK detected that the output temperature of the element was too low while the machine was running in loaded state. The unit was flagged by machine intelligence with a SMART event "Element not running”. The technician discovered that the solenoid valve was not properly connected. After reattaching the connector, the problem was resolved.
Thanks to SMARTLINK and the customer center's quick response, an inspection visit could be saved, the machine was fixed in time avoiding production and energy losses.

Automobile manufacturer achieves sustainable heat recovery with ZR compressor

An automobile producer faced the challenge of efficiently generating hot water for production, building heating, and sanitary facilities. Traditionally, they relied on gas and wood-fired boilers, consuming significant energy. Our team proposed an innovative solution: harnessing the residual heat from their ZR900-VSD compressor. This transformation not only reduced their CO2 footprint but also resulted in annual energy cost savings of up to €100,000. Our customer can easily follow up on these savings through the Energy Recovery dashboard in SMARTLINK.

Why should you get your compressed air equipment connected?
