Atlas Copco launches Power Technique business area
Atlas Copco has officially announced Power Technique as the new name of Construction Technique business area since July 18, 2017, Antwerp, Belgium.
Power Technique has been chosen as the name because power is recognized by customers, which the essential characteristic of the core product categories in portfolio – air, power (including light) and flow. The business area will serve multiple customer segments including construction, industrial, drilling, oil and gas and petrochemicals.

“We will continue to provide on-site power solutions and associated products to thousands of construction sites around the world. However, we also serve customers in many other segments, and the Power Technique name more accurately reflects this and our overall offering.
From 2018, Atlas Copco will launch a new division dedicated to Power and Flow, which will open up the innovation and product development technologies.
The Power and Flow division is to be established with the objective to accelerate growth. Creating this division will better reflect the development needs of our portfolio and aligns with the focus and expertise needed for our customers.
The Power Technique business area will continue to operate a dedicated service division to ensure customers get the most from their Atlas Copco products, along with a Specialty Rental division.
