King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) and Automation Engineering, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) had a transformative journey into the world of innovation at the Atlas Copco office in Thailand for the first time. The occasion was Innovation Day, a unique opportunity for students to delve into the core concepts of innovations that drive this renowned Home of Industrial Ideas.
Innovation Day: A Unique Learning Experience
The visit to Atlas Copco's office was a significant chance for students to step into the shoes of industry professionals and understand the intricate details of innovation, sustainability, and technological advancements.
Upon arriving at the office, students were welcomed by Mr. Helder Francisco, Regional GM ITBA SEA & Oceania and Christine Klinge, VP HR with warm introduction to the company's history, mission and, what we highly value, people culture.
The day's agenda provided a holistic understanding of Atlas Copco's innovative culture. Students started with an engaging presentation that showcased the company's commitment to sustainability and its impact on the environment. Then the students had a guided tour of the office, which included visits to various departments such as Innovation center and workshops. All these are done by the team of Atlas Copco’s engineers and technical experts who presented our innovations and how we do things. These interactions gave the students valuable insights with a hands-on experience into the inner workings of our collaborative environment.
Global Internship Program and Talent Incubation Project
In addition to the exploration of innovation, the students were also presented with information about Atlas Copco's global internship program and Talent Incubation Project. There was also a discussion session with our current talented student and ex-interns since 2021. These initiatives, designed to nurture and develop young talent, offered students the chance to envision themselves as potential future leaders in the company. It highlighted the valuable opportunities for career growth and personal development within Atlas Copco.
