The award came as a result of another successful year of partnership between Atlas Copco's charity initiative Water for All and Just a Drop. In the last year alone, the partnership has positively impacted the lives of 5,704 people through safe water and sanitation projects across Cambodia, Nicaragua and Uganda.
Spanning a decade, the partnership between the Atlas Copco Group and Just a Drop has seen the UK Group donate over £350,000 to the international, safe water charity, mostly funded through staff payroll donations which are double matched by the company. With these generous donations, Just a Drop has been able to support almost 30,000 people across the world, funding over 20 transformative water and sanitation projects across seven countries.
It's at times like these you get a chance to reflect! Atlas Copco employees are at the core of funding; be that via payroll giving or running small events during the year, so this award is for you. Our committee is as strong as it has ever been, and our partnership with Just a drop for the last 10 years has been fantastic! Here's to many more successful projects going forward. Our collective aim is to provide those who need it the most with provisions for sanitation, hygiene and clean drinking water. This is something we will keep doing for as long as it is needed!
Alice Mellar, Partnerships and Events Manager at Just a Drop, had this to say about the partnership: “We are so delighted that this partnership is getting the recognition that it deserves. Atlas Copco and the Water for All Committee have been loyal supporters of Just a Drop over the last decade, and have truly made a transformational impact to the lives of so many community members across three continents through their donations and support.”
