Celebrating 150 years at our UK headquarters
A day full of festivities
On the 21st of February 2023, the Atlas Copco Group celebrated 150 years of innovation. From a single office in Stockholm providing equipment to improve railway infrastructure, to the global organisation we are today serving customers in 180 countries and employing over 42,000 people – we had a lot to celebrate.
Coming into work on the morning of the 21st February we could feel that it was going to be a good day! The office was busy and there was buzz in the air. The event was great! Our food market was popular with the choice of Swedish meatballs and mash or chicken/falafel and flat bread in street food style boxes. We also had a crepe van serving a selection of delicious deserts. For entertainment we played a milestone game – who could order the Atlas Copco milestones in the quickest time. We tried our hand at the Swedish game, Kuub and our Water for All teams challenged employees to hook a duck! We then moved on to the formal part of the event, where our General Managers Mark Taylor, Desoutter, Ariel Rubinstein, Atlas Copco Compressors and James McAllister, Atlas Copco Tools & Assembly Solutions lead us through the videos that had been produced by Group as well as a local film that we had produced. All in all, it was a great event – one that we will remember for years to come.
