Managing risk through established processes

The combination of a decentralized organization and a global presence means that a structured and proactive risk management approach is crucial to our success.

Continuous risk review

Through our Enterprise Risk Management process, all our divisions participate in annual workshops where risks are identified, analyzed, assessed, and managed. These risks are continuously adapted and updated to accommodate a changing business climate. Internal experts provide insights into specific risks to ensure a comprehensive approach, and our risk universe is constantly evolving.

As part of the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) we continuously assess our impact and financial risks and opportunities through a structured approach, considering our own operations and our entire value chain. The process helps us to strategically prioritize our efforts and guides us when setting company-wide targets.

Geographical risk insights

We are guided by external insights regarding geographical risks. A regularly updated list of risk countries, based on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risk indices, helps us identify where adverse impacts are more likely to occur or be severe. This guides us in our strategic considerations when cooperating with business partners.

When it comes to risks to our own operations, we work with an external platform that helps us detect current or future risks that may impact our ability to do business.
