Agriculture, food and beverage
From farm to fork, grape to glass, bean to brew. Across the value chain and beyond. Our energy-saving industrial compressors, vacuum pumps and service solutions capture the freshness of ingredients while keeping efficiency high and emissions low.
The food value chain is complex. It also presents many opportunities for saving energy. Picking the right technology partner means faster and better-quality outcomes such as lower downtime, process improvement and cost reduction. Let’s start at the farm. Here, our smart solutions help extend the durability of agricultural machinery and equipment (as in the case of our U190 PACE compressor).
When fruits and vegetables are picked, they need to be kept fresh. Our oil-free air compressors, paired with our on-site nitrogen generators, achieve this with 99.9% pure nitrogen. In fact, nitrogen is used at different stages in the production, handling and packing of beverages. Factories use our on-site nitrogen generators to supply the nitrogen required to remove dissolved oxygen. Food factories also use our ZS screw blower technology for wastewater treatment.
Processing and packaging, too, need close attention. In pasta production, our vacuum systems are needed during mixing/extrusion. Sensitive food items such as baby food, risk coming into contact with the oil that is inevitably present in industrial settings. Therefore, baby food producers rely on low emission oil-free air compressors like our ZR 90-160 VSD+ compressor, complemented by an MD dryer. The ZR compressors are oil-free and they are frontrunners in lowering emissions, setting a whole new standard in energy efficiency. Combine them with our energy recovery units, up to 80% of the energy can be reused in industrial processes like steam production.

Our compressed air solutions and in-house technologies play a role in every step of the food production process, and our commitment to safety is underscored by our own manufacturing facilities: We are the first compressor manufacturer to be awarded the ISO 22000 food safety system certification.
