In addition to our Group objective focused on achieving gender diversity, we have established key performance indicators (KPIs) dedicated to fostering inclusion. As our Group diversity and inclusion statement shares, we believe that the more unique perspectives we embrace, the more innovative we are. The KPIs in relation to inclusion are meticulously monitored through our comprehensive employee engagement survey, enabling us to gauge the effectiveness of our initiatives.

 

We recognize that the true benefits of our diverse workforce are realized when every team member experiences a sense of being genuinely appreciated and esteemed. Across all our Business Areas, we are committed to implementing educational and training initiatives designed to enhance awareness and cultivate the attitudes essential for nurturing an inclusive organizational culture.

LGBTQ+ inclusion in Vacuum Technique Business Area

Employee networks bring employees together based on a shared identity or experience and arrange events, discuss issues, raise awareness and advocate for change. By providing a space for employees to come together and discuss their experiences, network groups can be a powerful tool in fostering a sense of inclusion. And by arranging events and exchanging information, they can increase understanding among different groups within the organization​.

 

This is how Fusion, an LGBTQ+ network was launched within the Vacuum Technique Business Area in 2021.

The purpose of the LGBTQ+ network is to: 

 

  • Increase organisational awareness of diversity and inclusion through the experience of LGBT+ colleagues​

  • Increase the visibility of Vacuum Technique brands externally as an LGBT+ inclusive employer​

  • Work proactively to increase diversity in the talent pool alongside race, gender and disability​

  • Inspire a family culture of inclusion and openness where everyone feels they can bring their whole selves to work without fear or judgement​

  • Collaborate with diversity champions to provide expertise on LGBT+ awareness, inclusion and issues ​

  • Provide a LGBT+ perspective on mental health and well being

The PTBA Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Playbook

Within the Power Technique Business Area, one of their primary goals is to promote diversity, equity and inclusion. To promote a culture of respect and inclusion across the organization, the ITBA Diversity, Equity and Inclusion playbook was developed as a fun and interactive tool to start discussions, share and learn. 

The Power Technique Playbook consists of 12 Plays for each month stretched over a year. For every Playmaker, the Playbook offers 3 sections that help the Playmaker practice, perform and pass it on.
