Stockholm, Sweden, November 20, 2008: Atlas Copco has agreed to acquire the European oil-free air compressor rental business of Aggreko plc, expanding the Atlas Copco Specialty Rental division. The total purchase price is MEUR 14.6 (MSEK 148).
Atlas Copco has won an order to supply the mining company LKAB with equipment for rock reinforcement.
Atlas Copco today reported third-quarter results with good order growth and record operating profit. Sales of mining equipment and aftermarket products were very strong, and all three business areas recorded sales and order growth.
