Atlas Copco completes acquisition of GIA

Stockholm, Sweden, January 31, 2012: Atlas Copco AB has today completed the acquisition of GIA Industri AB in Sweden from Vätterledens Verkstad AB, a subsidiary of Vätterledens Invest AB.
The acquired business has 113 employees and annual revenues of about MSEK 230. With the acquisition, Atlas Copco broadens its offering with products including electric mine trucks, utility vehicles, continuous loaders and ventilation systems. GIA Industri AB is part of the Underground Rock Excavation division within the Mining and Rock Excavation Technique business area.
