Ronnie Leten, President and CEO, confirms Atlas Copco’s most recent outlook statement, that the overall near-term demand for the Group is expected to remain at current level.

It has been an exciting year where we for example have grown significantly within vacuum solutions, leading us to decide to create a dedicated fifth business area,” Ronnie Leten said. “We are focusing on growing in the right segments while keeping a close eye on efficiency. Innovation in products and services that increase customers’ productivity is a constant guiding light for us.”

The Capital Markets Day begins with presentations by Ronnie Leten; Hans Ola Meyer, CFO; and two of the Business Area Presidents: Nico Delvaux, Compressor Technique, and Geert Follens, Vacuum Technique. Vacuum Technique will be operational starting January 1, 2017. Today the vacuum business is part of Compressor Technique, Atlas Copco’s largest business area.

The program includes an exhibition of the Group’s manufacturing and research facilities in Antwerp, the main center for Atlas Copco’s world-leading compressor business.

Invited to the Capital Markets Day in Belgium were the investor community, both financial and sustainability focused, and business/financial journalists.
