Correction: Malaysian compressor distributor will become part of Atlas Copco Group

Nacka, Sweden, November 29, 2024: The compressor business of JetCan Engineering Sdn Bhd (“JetCan”), headquartered in Penang, Malaysia, will become part of Atlas Copco Group.This press release corrects the Atlas Copco Group press release issued at 08:30 CET today. The correction refers to timing and the addition of expected time for the deal’s completion.

JetCan, founded in 1996, sells and services compressed air equipment and related accessories. The business is located in the north region of Malaysia and focused on customers in food and beverage, electrical and electronics, medical devices, as well as other general industry.

“The acquisition of the compressor business of JetCan provides an excellent opportunity to extend our sales and services in the important electronic hub located in the northern part of Malaysia”, said Philippe Ernens, Business Area President Compressor Technique.

The purchase price is not disclosed. As a part of the acquisition 24 employees will join the Group. The acquisition is expected to close during the first quarter of 2025.

The acquired business will become part of the service division within the Compressor Technique Business Area.
